Abstract

The efficiency of the human immune system depends on the delicate balance among its immune cells, particularly B cells and the different subtypes of T cells, Th1, Th2, Th17 and the regulatory T cells or Tregs.  It has been found that these important guardians of immunity can be regulated nutritionally through certain beneficial foods, prebiotics, probiotics and other supplements.

Abstract

This two hour session will be a panel discussion on how to increase awareness on the factors that influence the speed of aging as well as the ability to age while reducing the risk for chronic disease. With proper education, testing, and treatment protocols we will discuss how to safely and accurately affect longevity. Our experts will cover me about changes, lifestyle, changes, neurological changes, genetic factors, and more that affect the aging process.

Abstract

A HIgh Protein Diet and High Intensity Exercise: A Potent Cause of CHronic Metabolic Acidosis and Disturbances in Gut Microflora

Lunch & Learn Sponsored by Moss Nutrition

Certainly one of the most frequent recommendations made by practitioners in the nutritional/functional medicine community for chronically ill patients is increased protein intake and regular exercise. Evidence for the efficacy of this recommendation in terms of both morbidity and mortality is a large volume of studies conducted on athletes and aging regular exercisers. However, a frequent criticism of this recommendation is the risk of diminishing returns at certain levels of protein intake and exercise intensity. This presentation will review a paper that highlights two of the most underappreciated diminishing returns of excesses related to this potent combination: chronic metabolic acidosis and the even more underappreciated and misunderstood profound adverse alterations of gut microflora.

Abstract

This presentation explores novel nutritional therapeutics and innovative peptides to support muscle, bone health, and enhance lifespan. Maintaining muscle and optimizing bone health has become increasingly important for supporting longevity, quality of life, and overall health. This presentation explores the latest advancements in nutritional therapeutics and peptide science aimed at optimizing musculoskeletal health and healthy aging.
Attendees will gain insights into evidence-based nutritional therapeutics and bioactive compounds that play a pivotal role in muscle maintenance and bone density. Additionally, we’ll delve into the emerging role of peptides in promoting muscle recovery, enhancing bone remodeling, supporting
overall skeletal integrity, and longevity.

By connecting the latest research with clinical applications, this presentation provides healthcare professionals with practical strategies to incorporate nutritional and peptide-based approaches into personalized care plans to combat age-related muscle loss, improve bone density, and support overall health and longevity.

Abstract

Simple, speedy, extremely sensitive, and specific tests for endotoxin determination are established and commercially available. This presentation will address the production, infiltration, protective mechanisms and systemic circulation of LPS and therapeutic protocols to arrest and reverse its damaging effects.

You’ll glean insights into:

• Environments where LPS flourishes

• Health concerns in which LPS plays a role

• What happens when LPS accumulates over a lifetime and the risk of sepsis

• The relationship between microbiome health and LPS

• Protocols for quenching the systemic fire initiated by LPS
