Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis continue to increase in prevalence but conventional medicine in the United States mainly approaches these illnesses with prescription medications. This presentation will cover evidence-based approaches to IBD including elemental dieting, nutrition strategies, supplementation, and herbal medicines. An updated literature review on proper diagnostic methods will also be covered in detail. All attendees will come away with a thorough understanding of how to diagnose and manage patients with IBD.
