Vitamin A is one of the most important essential nutrients, affecting the expression of hundreds of genes governing multiple functions in the human body. Unfortunately, its role in human reproduction is widely underappreciated by conventional medicine, including fertility medicine. This session will be an overview of vitamin A's critical roles in female fertility and how even a marginal deficiency can negatively impact a woman's reproductive health in multiple ways. Indicators of and contributors to insufficiency/deficiency will be presented. Considerations for repletion will be discussed. Pam is representing the Weston A. Price Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic organization leading the way in disseminating the benefits of traditional dietary practices for a quarter of a century.
